How Can I ‘Really’ Make Money Online?

Welcome back!

This is the age old question. Funny to think that anything about the internet could be ‘age old’ but here it is.

Ever since there was an internet for us all to use, people have been trying to profit from it. Many people have succeed, many are still trying.

There are plenty of scams out there promising you instant riches for only $137. The seller of this scam will show you proof that his method works by revealing his bank account. Of course this works for him, he’s selling the scam. His bank account is not proof that his ideas will make you rich. It is only proof that he is willing to cheat you out of your money. Why wouldn’t he be rich, he is collecting $137 a pop to tell his story.

What is his story? Probably something like, create an ebook, market it and watch the money grow. He will tell you that in order for you to create your ebook, you will need his $97 ebook software program. To market your ebook, you will have to buy his $197 marketing plan. It’s as simple as that. Wow, are you rich yet. No, but he sure is!

This is very much like the old mail order scams about stuffing envelopes. How many people fell for that trick? How does that scam work? Well you pay someone $24.95 for their informative booklet on mail order profits. When you get the booklet, you find out that in order for you to make money in mail order, you have to get people to send you $24.95 for your informative booklet on mail order profits. Sound familiar?

The only difference between that old scam and the new internet scams is the price. The idea is the same, it just costs you a lot more to get ripped off online.

So is there really any way for an honest person to make a legitimate income online?

Yes there is!

It won’t be overnight and it won’t be effortless. It takes time and work to build a business anywhere. Why would the internet be any different? If anyone tries to tell you different they are lying to you. They are just trying to get you to buy their informative booklet, translated = ebook.

If you want to build a business, you will have to be willing to work, research and be patient. Nothing happens instantly and no one is going to hand you the silver tablet with all the answers.

There is a lot of writing that goes into an online business. You have to write website content. You have to write a newsletter or ezine. You have to write articles. If you hate to write, you are looking into the wrong business.

Yes, you will find people who will sell you the special program that will allow you to get rich without any writing. The problem is, how did you find out about that program? The seller wrote a sales letter. Hmm… sounds like writing to me. And remember what we already talked about? There is no super software that will make you rich overnight. If someone were to create such a program, do you think you would be able to buy it for one hundred and thirty seven dollars? Hardly.

Let’s stay on track here.

To build an online business, you will have to own a website. To create this website, you will have to research a topic and write about it. You will have to buy a domain name, (this is cheap and you only pay once a year). You will need to find a good hosting company to host your site. This can be pretty inexpensive if you look around. This is a monthly expense that you will have to be able to afford before you even consider building a website.

Once you have your site built and online, your next job will be to let the world know you are there. This is the biggest job there is. It is a never ending task. No one will even know your site exists if you don’t work on promoting it. Many people will try to sell you information on marketing too. There is plenty of free information out there all you have to do is look for it.

Finally, once you have your site up and running, you have people coming to your site, you will need a product or products to sell or what was the point? The easiest way to get products is through affiliate programs. These programs will allow you to sell someone else’s product and make commission off your sales. You don’t have to stock anything, you don’t have to collect money and you don’t have to deal with shipping.

There are many good companies out there that offer nice commissions on their products. It really doesn’t matter what you decide to create your website about. You will find someone selling something that will compliment your site.

So, back to the original question. How can I ‘really’ make money online?  The answer is by working at it. Put your pie in the sky dreams away and start writing.

How to Set Yourself Apart From Other Online Affiliates

Considered today as one of the best and easiest way to earn some money, affiliate marketing is now attracting many people to represent themselves in this type of business. But as competition is getting a bit bigger, you may need some ways to distinguish yourself from the rest of the affiliate marketers. For the major reason that many of your competitors including you are promoting the exact same program, in the exact same zone or on the exact same websites perhaps.  Now here are some tips that you may consider in order for you to stay in this business and have the chance to outwit and outplay other competitors of yours.

The first thing is for you to have your own website. It is very essential for you to have your own website in considering affiliate marketing as your professional career. Secondly, potential customers primarily go to websites in order for them to search and sometimes purchase items they were looking for. For the same reason that it is much easier to remember than a certain URL that you may be using and you can just point to your visitors the affiliate page in your website.

Another thing to remember is to have your own ad. A lot of times affiliates marketers have published the same ad two or three times done by advertisers. In this case, you may email the owner of your affiliate program asking that you make your own ads. This way, people may not become immune to ads, because sometimes seeing the same ads over and over again, may just make your potential customers to just skip it all together.  Besides, your primarily purpose is to attract or encourage people to click and read your ads and be curios enough to click through your website.

Step three, have some products of your won which are only available through your website. Once you have your website going, it is important to have some products or services that your customers can’t find with other affiliate’s site. You want your customers to keep coming to your site and the best way to do that is to have something on your site that they can’t find on others. Being an affiliate marketer we must then choose a certain market segment where you can have a potential leadership or at least a strong challenger role.

The fourth step is to build a strong relationship with people who already buy your product. Now, in order for you as the marketer to fully answer the query of your potential customers, it is best to try and buy the product by yourself. With this particular notion, you can better sell the product that you are trying to market. You can share to your potential customers what a great experience you had with the product, and this can make them interested enough to buy the product. You may also be able to provide a support if necessary or you may provide a confident tutorial or steps on how to use the product that you are trying to market based on your personal experience. Entailing this idea is to be totally honest about the product that you are trying to market. If you find out that the program you were promoting is a scam, stop promoting it and inform your readers about it. This will help you build credibility with your lists.

We all make mistakes and admitting your mistake will boost your reader’s confidence in you. Lastly, don’t try to market everything you see. With services such as click bank, it is easy to become overwhelmed and try to market everything in the click bank marketplace. That is not a good idea. It’s better to focus on one market and market products that they would want. This is called niche marketing.

Try also to promote a certain product, which conforms to the specifications measured through indications of customer-satisfaction, rather than indicators of self-gratification. It is the customer who decides what to buy and not the company or the affiliate marketer. The company simply produces products catering to the needs and wants of their chosen market segment.

Today, different types of business are emerging from all over the world in a multinational level to reign supreme on their specific market segment that they are trying to dominate, and affiliate marketing is one of them. Affiliate marketing is definitely here to stay and it can become a great way to earn extra or even part time income. However, it won’t happen overnight. Like everything else in life, you’re going to have to put a lot of hard work into it. Good luck to you in your new venture.

You can find many wordpress themes in this day and age. What should you look for while selecting a WordPress theme that will help to enhance the quality of your links and improve your chances of earnings.Wordpress themes are available free online if you do a search. You can also use Commission Ritual to find out various WordPress themes. The trick is that you have to leave the link to the developer intact. If you don’t want to risk any chance of misplacing the link, there are developers who will create a wordpress theme for your link. You can follow these tips to ensure that the WordPress theme that you choose is the best one.

One thing that you have to take special care of is to ensure that the browser is compatible with the other browsers. After you have created a website, you need to check it in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. If possible, it would be good to look it on Macs and PCs.The theme should be compatible with the browser or else the visitors would leave your website unsatisfactorily.Second factor which you need to consider is to see whether you can attach widgets to your word press theme.Widgets are basically add on scripts which a nice feature of word press themes.Uploading the widgets is not a big deal. However, it would not be worth to have these widgets even though they are attractive, if your theme cannot handle them properly.Word press theme should be able to load smoothly. If people have to wait seconds to see your site, they will click the back button before you have the chance to make your case.

Is the theme already overused. If you don’t want your theme to look very common then choose the theme which is not overused. If you plan to have ads on your site – either banner ads or Adsense – make sure that the theme supports them in its design.

At the end, figure out whether you can progress with the help of the design or not.Your theme should continue to give the same look and feel even after the site is developed.Do thorough marketing research before applying a new theme to avoid shocking your visitors.Decide on a sensible wordpress theme.Selection of your theme will directly affect your site financially.

The purpose of Traffic Travis (which was created by Mark Ling) is to act as a keyword research tool and it does this job extremely well. Just within the version of Traffic Travis that is free of charge, users are able to get 200 keywords for every topic; however, those paying for the pro version of the tool can pull out around 2000. The Top Blog Hosting Services

Most people who want to make money blogging often have to make a crucial first decision  about where they can put up their blog.  And what looks like an easy question is actually one of the most important elements to blogging success.  In fact, some blog service providers make blogging for money an easier task, while other providers do nothing towards that direction.

But which blog hosting services are perfect for your money-making blog, and which ones don’t cut muster?  Below is a short list of the biggest names in blogging so that you can decide which service is best for your blog:

1.  Blogger.com

Because creating a Blogger.com blog is incredibly easy, this blog hosting service has become a popular choice for bloggers everywhere.  You don’t have to pay anything, and you don’t have to have any experince in HTML or any programming language just to have your site up and running.  The problem?  Blogger.com doesn’t give you the kind of tools or customizing freedom that your blog will eventually need to earn any money.

If you’re into blogging only as a hobby, for personal reasons, or just for kicks, Blogger’s simplicity will definitely fit your purposes,  If you want to make money online, however, Blogger probably can’t support your site very well, as opposed to other hosting services.

2.  WordPress
With WordPress, bloggers have all the freedom to pick between the free blogs at WordPress.com and the self-hosted, fully-customizable blogs from WordPress.org.  Basically, WordPress.com echoes the services that Blogger.com already offers, but with a few more goodies in the package.  WordPress.com blogs cost nothing, are easy to set up, and don’t require a lot of hardcore internet know-how for you to maintain your blog.

WordPress.org, on the other hand, supports monetization much better than WordPress.com can.  The downloadable blogging software doesn’t cost a thing, and, unlike WordPress.com, will let you download thousands of free templates and plugins to help you gain an advantage when you post entries, sell products, and enhance your blog’s functionality.  The problem with this is that you’ll have to find and pay for web hosting to your own blog.  WordPress.org also tends to be very confusing to newbie bloggers, and will actually require at least some technical skills before you can finally put up your blog.

3.  SOLOBIS.net
If you haven’t heard of the SOLOBIS.net WordPress Plan yet, it’s because this service is the newest one in the blogging industry.  Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s fresh, though.  This service looks like it can outdo the current giants, simply because it provides a solution that the big names don’t: it gives bloggers the best of both worlds.

Each SOLOBIS.net blog comes with its own SOLOBIS.net subdomain (e.g., www.johnsmith.solobis.net) and is pretty much like a free WordPress.com blog:  simple, easy to navigate, and newbie-friendly.  But that’s not the end of the story:  a SOLOBIS.net blog boasts of features that you’ll find only in paid, self-hosted WordPress.org blogs.  We’re talking about loads of extra, beautiful templates, as well as the ability to put up the right money-making plugins on your site.  The best part?  These plugins and templates are already in every SOLOBIS.net blog, so you won’t have to go looking for them when it’s time to customize your site.

The fact that these themes and plugins are pre-installed in your blog means that you won’t have to waste time running around and looking for the right tools that will help you make money blogging.  In fact, if you think of it, your SOLOBIS.net blog is actually ready to make money way before you are.  It’s perfect for beginners who want to learn how to blog profitably without losing their heads, and it’s just as great for experienced bloggers who can only stand to benefit from all those money-making tools.

Although Blogger.com and WordPress.com are great for beginners, they fail to provide adequate support for blogs that will ultimately be monetized.  And while WordPress.org definitely provides top-notch service and a lot of customization legroom, turning up a profit can take a long while, since you’ll have to do all the work on your own.  With SOLOBIS.net, however, a blogger doesn’t have to be an expert to start making money right away — all the tools are already there, waiting to be run towards big profits.  From the looks of it, you can’t find a better combination of convenience, versatility, and profitability as the one that the SOLOBIS.net WordPress Plan is already offering to its users.

Is Keyword Research Important?

Every webmaster has one thing in common, and it is that they want top listings in search engines. If you choose the wrong keywords from the beginning, you will never get any sales. To start an online business, you have to be smart, and being smart deals with keyword research. If you do not do keyword research before starting an online business, you will fail.

Many webmasters that eventually fail after a short amount of time recommend using long tail keywords. I have no idea who came up with this logic, but it can be a real waste of time. It is rare to find long tail keywords that even get searched. If you optimize for some long tail keywords, it doesn’t matter if you are first or last, you won’t see any traffic.

You really need to look for keywords that get searched but aren’t being optimized very well. A long tail keyword can actually ruin your business strategy. The length of a keyword does not indicate how competitive it is. There are many long tail keywords that are being optimized by a lot of people, which leads to it being harder to rank well.

I will tell you how I do my keyword research. First, I examine hundreds of keywords and pick some that apply to my website. Next, I use a software called Keyword Elite to find out the monthly search volume for each term. I try to stay away from using the Google Keyword Tool because I don’t think it is very accurate with the search volume.

After that, I make a search for the keywords that have good search volume. I then use Yahoo Site explorer to analyze the number one ranked websites and their backlinks. After putting the website into Yahoo for analyzing, I check to see how many links the site has with the search keyword.

If I happen to notice that the website does not contain anchor text links, then I know that the website owner is very new to the online world. With relevant backlinks and patience, I will easily be able to get the number one spot for that certain keyword.

New website owners get scared of competition and don’t realize that it’s actually not that hard to rank well. You have to take into consideration that many webmasters know nothing about search engine optimization and are lucky to be ranking well. If you do find website owners that aren’t doing good search engine optimization, you should be able to take their position and make money.

Internet Marketing Software

Let’s face it, we all want more web site traffic and will do
just about anything to get it and that’s where it all starts to
go wrong!

Do you really think that a new software marketing product will
do it all for you, well it may work for so long but when the
search engines find out that’s it back to square one unless you
choose the right Software.

So how do you set the process in motion, roll up your sleeves
and get going, articles are by far the best way to get good backlinks
to your site and increase your web site traffic and your page
rank.

Let me give you an example of how this works, and trust me it
works a treat to get more web site traffic

Let’s say you write an article called “getting web site traffic”
just like this one, don’t worry how long it takes you to write
the article just do it! your own content is best.

Next I will upload the article to my web site, then submit the
article to the top article directories with software where
people will be looking for new unique content for their sites.
This is where things start to get interesting, my site has say a
page rank 2 but the article directories that I have submitted
the article to may have a page rank 4-5 maybe even 6 and that’s
the whole point of this.

At this point three things happen!

1) Next time the search engines index the article directories
say 20 to 50 of them depending on how many you submitted your
article to, you now have 20 to 50 back links to your site from a
site with a page rank 4 or better that’s enough to take your
site from a PR2 to PR3 which will move all your pages of your
web site up in the rankings and increase your web site traffic.

2) The Article that you wrote may not do well on your site, But
that’s because your site does not have a good PR.

I have had Articles that I have submitted to the top ranking
directories, placed in the top three listings with the search
engines for weeks and send me loads of web site traffic and make
me more sales!

The same article on my site was down around page 5 or 6 with the
search engines, that’s because at the time my site only had a PR
of 2.

3) This is the bit I really like, if you produce a good
interesting article that’s well written and appealing to others
then these people will use your article for their news letter or
for content on their site.

When people use your article that they have found on a directory
they must leave your link in tact, this means that you can
quickly get lot’s of good backlinks to your site and improve your
page rank all this from one article.

I had one article that I put on an article directory.com that gave me
57 backlinks to my site in just 2 weeks, how long would it take
you to get this amount of “relevant” links to your site and how
much work would it take!

Make no mistake about it, this is the quickest method I know to
getting more web site traffic to help your online business, do
yourself a favour and get writing now 1 article per week will do
more for your Traffic than all the other things you do put together
trust me if your looking to increase your web site traffic this
is how to do it.

Website builder

As an Internet marketer, it is extremely important to be
able to build the website yourself, and build it fast with no fuss.

I have seen many site building programs that use “What You
See is What You Get” or in short “WYSIWYG” feature, which
allows people to simply drag and drop items, add text, links,
etc. in plain view while creating a web site. The problem is that
the ‘WYSIWYG’ feature has certain limits in its use. An example is,
the drag and drop areas are confined to the pre-configured layout
of the page.

“What is the best website builder on the market to day
just now”

if you are buliding your first website and don’t know HTML
then there is only one choice.
90 Second Website Builder

What you do is upto you but don’t buy the wrong software it will
drive you nuts!.

Don’t let the name mislead you — It doesn’t mean you can build a
website in 90 seconds using this tool. “90 Second” is just a fun
title for a product that is very fast and easy to use.

How is the software so easy to use?

if you can send an email and use microsoft word you can
create a professional site almost instantly with the NEW 90 Second
Website Builder Software.

90 Second Website Builder software is not like template-driven online
builders. It is a software application that generates
conventional html code - html code used by Dreamweaver,
FrontPage, and so on. The 90 Second Website Builder software
requires NO HTML KNOW HOW. In fact, it is not even
an HTML editor, but an HTML generator. Also you don’t even have
to know there is HTML involved. Just put images, text and other
object on your page and your page is ready to go!

you can ofcourse add existing html to the web page using the
advanced page and object HTML tools through the interface.

Traditional programs like FrontPage, Dreamweaver etc,
use a word document “word processor” type of layout, where you
can’t pick up objects and drag them where you want them to go
on the web page. With 90 Second Website Builder, you can drag
and drop any objects just where you want them. Giving you full control
over the layout. You can even put objects on top or below other
objects.

Traditional HTML editors use Dynamic Page Layout , that means
that the first object on the page will also determine the position of
the second object. Resizing or moving the first object will affect the
complete layout of the page. This means that you can’t overlap
objects when using Dynamic Page Layout.

With 90 Second Website Builder it generates Fixed Page Layout. All objects
have a fixed position which is not affected by other objects. This also
allows you to overlap objects and give you much more control over
the layout of the page and how it looks.

You can add banners, navigation bars, ready-to-use javascripts and
many other things that you can’t do using a regular HTML editor.

There are templates available, but most sites designed and created
with 90 Second Website Builder are one off designs.

All sites built with 90 Second Website Builder do NOT create a “footprint”
for SEO. The code is generated in the same as any other conventional
html web design software. The main difference between 90 Second Website
Builder and Dreamweaver, FrontPage, is its “front-end” interface.

The finished product is a conventionally generated html web page.

Benefits:

– Drag and Drop Design / Point, Click and Publish
– Real Downloaded Software Application- NOT an online template
-driven service
– No Monthly Service Fees
– No Special Hosting Required – Use with ANY Hosting Service
– One-Click Pubishing / Instant Upload – No FTP client needed
– WYSIWYG Interface for SUPER Easy Designing
– Import Existing HTML pages as an option
– No Code to Learn
– Create UNLIMITED Websites and Web Pages

What features do you get with 90 second website builder

?The list is just too HUGE to include here.
Please click here to get the full list.

Conclusion, if you need to build a website and build it fast, then you
need the 90 second website builder.

The Secrets to Niche Marketing

There are two different ways of ideas about niches. One takes the target audience into consideration first, which is the product centric model, while the other takes the product into consideration first, the audience centric model.

Actually, both of these ideas are identical but one of them will allow you to have more advantage. So which one is that? The product centric based idea.

The product centric model carries a time-tested rule of marketing: if you want to get into profit quickly, sell what people are already buying! There is plenty of information about things that sells well. Niche marketing is just a job to identify the gaps in the market which haven’t got dug yet, and build a business around it.

If you realize, books account for a huge portion of online revenue. Nevertheless, how do you grab a slice for yourself without competing against the huge companies like Amazon.com?

The answer is simple, you specialize. No matter how huge Amazon is, sometimes you still wouldn’t be able to find books that you want. What types of books are people searching for that they can’t find through the mainstream booksellers?

Could you become the authority and number one resource for books on a particular hobby? How about underground’ titles like “The Anarchist’s Cookbook”?

Another way you can build a niche around hot-selling products is to add some spice by customizing or personalizing them. In summary, the product-centric model is based on giving a twist to existing markets and trends.

On the other side, an audience centric model takes a subject matter, special interests or information more importantly first. Basically, you start off with no idea on what to sell. You don’t have a product in mind. You only know your target-audience.

The great thing about the audience-centric approach is that you can create whole new markets out of thin air. This is the model preferred by most e-book authors and information marketers.

So where do we start? You need to assess your own interests and strengths before you begin, especially if this is your first time starting a business. What are you already interested in? Do you have any background or expertise on a particular subject? Start with what you know, you’ll have more advantage because your prior knowledge will allow you to narrow down your niche quickly. In other words, you already have a good idea of how the topic breaks down.

If your passion is music, for example, you know there is an almost endless supply of potential products and potential buyers in areas as diverse as:
• Instruments/instrument sales/instrument repair/vintage instruments
• Techniques and lessons on how to play a certain instrument
• Memorabilia – shirts, hats, tickets, stickers, posters, autographs
• Audio production, recording, CD labeling, booking, promotion etc

You also know that any or all of those can be tailored towards: solo artists, bands, fans, managers, engineers, agents and the list go on.

Now that’s a great thing for you, but what if that’s not you’re interested? What if you are just not into creating a business out of your hobby, or you don’t feel any passion for your current expertise?

The good news is: It’s Fine! You don’t need to give up hope or bang your head against the wall for ideas. You will however need to do some extra work. This brings us to the second reason I suggest taking stock of your strengths.

Here’s a secret about most internet marketers. Ready to know? Here it is: Most of the famous niche marketers you’ve heard of create products for niches they know absolutely nothing about.

How do they do that? Easy, they either hire the research and writing to someone else, or hunt down an expert for an interview, just a combination of outsourcing and “branding”. Also, this type of marketer has his or her own set of “reasons why” for motivation.

They include:
• Money
• Pride of ownership
• Love of the creative process
• Need for variety and breadth, rather than depth

It doesn’t matter as much to this type whether the market personally interests them. His or her goal and passion is to hunt down as many overlooked niches as possible, dive into them quickly and start profiting.

So, if this sounds like you, you’re in good company! Once you learn the basics of niche research, you’ll have your pick of dozens of potential business ideas.

To Your Success,

Newbies Guide To Online Marketing Jargon

In all forms of business, and even hobbies, the people who have been involved in a particular activity will start to use jargon. When someone new comes along this jargon can be very offputting, making them feel like an outsider, and may result in somebody being put off completely. When your business depends on people as customers, then you need to be careful you don’t leave them outside with jargon.

It recently came to my attention that online marketing has more than its share of jargon for the newbie to learn. As marketing is all about getting and keeping new customers, I could see we online marketers have an image problem. The online marketing jargon was pointed out to me vividly by a colleague who was interested in working online, and asked for an explanation. He stopped me mid sentence with the words “speak English geek boy” that was my wake up call.

Now the light is on, I decided to write this short guide to online marketing jargon, to help anyone on the outside of the internet marketing circle get on the inside much quicker.

1) Online Marketing, is selling any product or service on the internet or world wide web. Marketing is just the act of selling something, selling on the web costs less than having a real world, bricks and mortar business. It’s this low cost of entry which is attractive in starting your own online business.

2) Joint Ventures, a joint venture is a partnership. Simply put 2 or more people work together to increase their sales, or to complete a product or service. Sometimes shortened to JV, joint ventures are often very profitable.

3) Subscriber List, this is sometimes known as an email list, or an ezine list (ezine is short for electronic magazine), and is a list of people who have given permission for the marketer to send them emails which may contain adverts. This is also known as an opt-in list, because subscribers opt in to receive the emails. This prevents people complaining that an email is spam because there will be a record of them signing up and agreeing to receive the emails, another snippet of jargon is double opt-in, which just means after filling in a form, the potential subscriber will receive an email asking them to verify that they agree to accept future emails before they are actually added to the email list to receive them.

4) Viral Marketing, this little phrase is used to describe a way of increasing your business, or websites reach, by using a “viral technique”. In real life a virus spreads out by people contacting one another, and computer viruses are spread by contacting other computers. Some clever people realised they could use the power of people sending each other information, and watch information about their own business being spread in the same way as a virus. Giving away a free gift, which contains a link to your business, and allowing others to give it away too will work like a virus spreading the word to others as people send it on to their friends, as long as your freebie was something people would give away in the first place.

5) Niche Marketing, this is the act of selling to a particular group of people. There are lots of untapped niches (small groups interested in a specific subject) who are willing to pay for information. Online it’s eay to target these small markets by monitoring search engine results, and finding a specific word or phrase which is being searched for but not near the top of the list of popular searches. An example of a niche market is poodle owners, they are dog owners, but will specifically search for information about poodles. These markets can be profitable because they are not targeted directly by many people so if you have a product tailored to a niche market you have little or no competition.

6) EBook, although getting more popular this still causes some confusion, an ebook is an electronic book, it can be a .pdf file, plain text file or an executable file (one which is actually a self contained program to run on your computer). Ebooks sell well online, as there is no shipping, and delivery is instant.

7) MLM, is the initials of one of the least understood, and most maligned of business models, Multi Level Marketing. Sometimes known as network marketing or referral marketing, mlm is an ideal business model for online marketers, because of the ease of getting out the message about a new business, and the low cost of advertising online. The problem with mlm is that it is also easy to mistake a pyramid scheme (also called a ponzi) for an mlm opportunity, and many unscrupulous people will sell pyramid schemes as an mlm opportunity. The difference is that a genuine Mutli Level Marketing scheme has a worthwhile product which you are selling, and money is made by referring other sellers of the product whose sales generate you a commission. Pyramid schemes will usually have a worthless product or no product at all, and pays people from new members joining.

I hope that, if you are a newbie to online marketing, these short explanations will help you understand some of the things the seasoned online marketer says and writes, and if you’re a seasoned marketer you will try to introduce your newbie friends with less of the jargon we take for granted.
